My background

My background is in advertising. For over 30 years, I have used my writing skills and my creativity to tell the stories of well-known products and famous brands. During the pandemic, I told the story of the NHS and the vaccine roll-out. Even then, in difficult times, there was a story that gave us hope.

Now as a Funeral Celebrant, I use those same skills to tell the stories of people’s lives. Honestly, they’re the most rewarding stories I’ve ever told.

My training

Surprisingly, you don’t need a qualification to be a celebrant. But saying goodbye needs to be done properly. So, before I could accept the responsibility of leading a funeral and honouring someone’s life, I knew I wanted the very best training possible. As a result, I’m proud to say I have a NOCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy, which is the highest qualification you can achieve in this field.
